Facial Pain and Temporomandibular Disorders

Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD) is a common cause of facial pain and headaches. These disorders are also often referred to as "TMJ". Because these disorders are often caused by a variety of factors, an accurate diagnosis and individualized treatment plan is necessary in order to deal with these pain symptoms which are usually chronic in nature.

Additionally, since these problems are often due to more than one factor, multidisciplinary treatment from more than one health care provider is frequently necessary.
